A fulfillment of Biblical prophecy: The regathering of the wandering Jew

Updated: Dec 18, 2025

The hastening of the Jews in their own land proves the sovereignty of God. It proves unequivocally that the God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob is the true and living God, not Allah, not Buddha, and not some divine feminine. The Bible is clear; it is the fulfillment of prophecy that proves the validity of the Scriptures.

"But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him." — Deuteronomy 18:20-22.

For those of you who are unaware, there were over 300 prophecies that were literally fulfilled at our Lord's 1st Advent. And the chances of that being fulfilled in one person as foretold by the prophets are so mathematically outrageous that it proves beyond a shadow of a doubt the Lord was who He said He was, and that this Book (the A.V. 1611) contains the very words of the living God. It proves, at least to my mind, that the things which God hath spoken will come to pass.

Since the events on October 7th, 2023, I have been consuming a lot of Israeli News. And the one thing that many of these outlets have in common is their inability to reconcile the rise of antisemitism the world over. The common line of thought among them is that Israel is losing the "information war" because it continues to fail to place the proper emphasis on winning the hearts and minds of the so-called "global community." It is the reason, at least in their minds, Israel's reputation continues to be tarnished around the world. But nothing can be farther from the truth. The rise of antisemitism across the globe is no mere coincidence. And as always, the Bible is not silent on this issue.

For those of us with even a basic understanding of end-time prophecy, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the hatred of the Jew has nothing to do whatsoever with any information war, or the failure of Israel to win the hearts and minds of the Global, blah, blah, blah. But it is a direct result of God's plan and purpose in the ages.

The Bible says in Proverbs 27:4, “Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?”

And herein lies the real reason behind all antisemitism. The world hates the Jew not because they are Jews per se, but because God has chosen them as His earthly people. It is the reason there will never be lasting peace in the Middle East. It's because God, through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, has promised the Jews the land (which is currently subdivided into Jordan, the West Bank, Gaza, and Israel proper). At its roots is satanic hatred for the seat and power of authority—the word of God. This is the reason why our Lord was ultimately crucified.

"Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would. And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas. Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ? For he knew that for envy they had delivered him. When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him. But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas." (Matthew 27:15-21).

I have often said that we are living in the "death thralls" of our current dispensation. The signs of which are evident on every hand. And none more so than the recent reports coming out of Israel (December 2025). That God is now, more than ever, hastening the return of His people to their homeland, there can be little doubt.

Now, from what I've gathered from Israeli News, Aliyah (עֲלִיָּה) is a Jewish term for Jews returning to Israel. It's a Hebrew word meaning "ascent" or "going up," and it signifies a spiritual and physical return by Jews to their ancestral homeland. It is a concept that is central to Zionism, "representing the ingathering of the exiles and fulfillment of biblical promises to rebuild Jewish national life in Israel." And this term or phrase, or event, shall we say, is commonly referred to in Israeli news.

For context, the Key aspects of Aliyah are:

  1. Meaning: "Ascent" or "to go up," connecting to Jerusalem as the holy city and the land as spiritually higher.

  2. Significance: It's considered a fundamental act of Jewish national return, fulfilling prophecies and dreams of rebuilding in the biblical land.

  3. Modern Context: Refers to Jewish immigration to Israel, formalized by the Law of Return, granting citizenship and residency.

  4. Biblical Roots: The term appears in the Bible for pilgrimages to Jerusalem and the return of Jacob's bones, representing spiritual elevation.

  5. Opposite: The emigration of Jews from Israel is called yerida (descent).

Now, there is a report that was issued this week (the 2nd week in December) by the Israeli government that it has recently begun the process of returning an entire lost tribe (The Bnei Menashe (Hebrew: בני מנשה, "Children of Menasseh") to Israel from India. Now if this ain't the fulfillment of prophecy, I don't know what is. The Bible is clear that there must be a return of the children of Israel back to their homeland before the events that culminate in Daniel's 70th week. Once God consummates the return of His people to the land, He will then, at the end of the tribulation, gather (assemble) the nations (the U.N.) against Israel to destroy them.

Bnei Menashe in Adloyada of Purim in Carmiel

“That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the peoples, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee. If any of thine be dispersed as to the uttermost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee.” — Deuteronomy 30:3-4.

“If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations: but if ye turn unto me... though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.” — Nehemiah 1:8-9.

“At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all the people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD.” — Zephaniah 3:19-20.

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.” — Zechariah 12:9.

"I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. [...] Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD. Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about." — Joel 3:2, 11-12.

"Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the Lord, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy." — Zephaniah 3:8

So then, you might be asking, well, what does this have to do with me? And why should I be concerned with the events in Israel and the Middle East? Because it's another token, we are getting closer to our gathering together unto Him. It's a token that time is running out.

You know, I've often asked myself these questions: Am I living the way the Lord would have me live? Will I be satisfied if the Lord returns tomorrow, that I'm currently doing everything in my power to get the gospel to this lost and dying world? Is there someone I ought to forgive? Am I holding on to some animosity towards someone that I shouldn't be? I wonder sometimes just how many more messages I could preach, and how many more people I could physically help, if I didn't spend as much time on things that, in the end, will not matter. Or if I didn't spend my money on things I didn't really need.

I truly believe that the sin that doth so easily beset us is the sin of covetousness. In 2 Timothy 4:10, Paul tells Timothy, "Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world."

And in Revelation 3:14-19, John writes that it was the sin of the church in the last days. The day we currently live.

"And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent." (Revelation 3:14-19).

In Hebrews 12:1, the Bible says, “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,”.

Notice in the verse that there are many weights, but only one (singular) sin.

Think about what I'm saying, and be honest with yourself, and before God. How many of us could actually be in the mission field right now if we just didn't have to have that new car, or that new house, or that new boat, or that new iPhone, or tablet, etc.? I wonder how many more gospel tracts we could give out if we'd just purpose in our hearts to forgo things like the television, social media, hunting, and fishing, and to sacrifice some of the creature comforts in life. You know, all those things that are really going to matter when we get to Glory. And how many more souls do you think we could reach if we committed as much time to actually doing the work of God rather than wasting it?

The three T's:

  1. Time (Are you making good use of your time?)

  2. Talents (Are you making good use of your talents?)

  3. Treasure (Are you making good use of your treasure?)

Now, be honest, how much of these are we really committing to Him?

May the Lord help us to be more faithful to Him.

Only One Life by C.T. Studd

Two little lines I heard one day, Traveling along life’s busy way;

Bringing conviction to my heart, And from my mind would not depart;

Only one life, ’twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.

Only one life, yes only one, Soon will its fleeting hours be done;

Then, in ‘that day’ my Lord to meet, And stand before His Judgment seat;

Only one life,’ twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.

Only one life, the still small voice, Gently pleads for a better choice

Bidding me selfish aims to leave, And to God’s holy will to cleave;

Only one life, ’twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.

Only one life, a few brief years, Each with its burdens, hopes, and fears;

Each with its days I must fulfill, living for self or in His will;

Only one life, ’twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.

When this bright world would tempt me sore, When Satan would a victory score;

When self would seek to have its way, Then help me Lord with joy to say;

Only one life, ’twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.

Give me Father, a purpose deep, In joy or sorrow Thy word to keep;

Faithful and true what e’er the strife, Pleasing Thee in my daily life;

Only one life, ’twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.

Oh let my love with fervor burn, And from the world now let me turn;

Living for Thee, and Thee alone, Bringing Thee pleasure on Thy throne;

Only one life, “twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.

Only one life, yes only one, Now let me say, “Thy will be done”;

And when at last I’ll hear the call, I know I’ll say ’twas worth it all”;

Only one life,’ twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.
